We are pleased to inform you about the recently released “Call for Proposals for the Swiss Innovation Prize Competition 2024” by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines. This initiative is aimed at fostering innovation and supporting the development of new ideas that have the potential to drive economic growth and improve society. It offers young scholars, entrepreneurs, startups, and researchers the opportunity to showcase their innovative solutions and secure funding.
The Competition welcomes proposals and submissions which highlight potential impact, novelty, and feasibility in any of three (3) innovation streams such as:
- Digitalization Digital transformation; Internet of Things (IoT); Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Sustainability Reducing Carbon Emissions and adopting renewable energy resources; reducing waste and promoting circular economies; and promoting sustainable agriculture and food systems.
- Prosperity Economic well-being encompasses a range of factors, including income, employment, education, health, and social well-being
Application Process
Proposals in each category must not exceed the 5000-word limit following the prescribed format containing the following:
- Executive summary
- Background/rationale
- Discussion of the innovative idea/project addressing (a) potential impact, (b) novelty and innovation, (c) feasibility, and (d) sustainability.
- Action points/recommendations
- References
Important Dates
- Deadline for entry submissions: 30 August 2024
- Notification results: 21 October 2024
