About

Associate Professor and University Scientist at the University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health (UPM CPH). A licensed physician with a rich public health background, and an MBA, he’s served in various management roles, currently leading the Master of Hospital Administration graduate program committee of UPM CPH. Dr. Faraon also spent time as a Senior Technical Officer of the Office for Technical Services at the Department of Health. His research portfolio focuses on health system strengthening and the Global Burden of Disease, contributing to multiple prestigious journals locally and internationally. 

His new role as Head of the UPM Research Grants Administration Office marks a pivotal point in his public health career. Charged with the vital task of overseeing the university’s research grants, Dr. Faraon foresees to further streamline the research administration processes and sustain the conducive environment for academic exploration and discovery in full support of UPM’s vision to be the national leader in the health sciences.
