Publication Fee Grant


Faculty/research faculty whose original research articles have been accepted
for publication in Thomson Reuters Web of Science (formerly ISI) or Scopus-indexed journals requiring
payment of publication fee 


  1. Letter of acceptance which indicates that payment of publication fee is necessary to
    publish accepted paper and the amount of publication fee. The maximum publication
    fee given is US$500
  2. Copy of proposed article which indicates affiliation with UP Manila
  3. Proof that journal is a Thomson Reuters (formerly ISI) or SCOPUS- indexed journal
  4. Registration of research/study with the RGAO
  5. Ethics approval of research protocol from the UPM-REB for researches involving
    human participants
  6. Approval of research/study from OVCR

Application process:

Step 1: Register the original research from which the publication was based with RGAO at

Step 2: Email the required attachments at

Step 3: RGAO will email the pre-filled application form

Step 4: Email signed application form in pdf file format

Step 5: RGAO will forward printed copy to the department for the Department Chair’s endorsement

Step 6: Department will forward it to the Dean/Executive Director for second endorsement

Step 7: College Unit will submit it to OVCAA

Step 8: RGAO will monitor the application and notify applicant once approved.

Grant Release: 

  • Check will be addressed to faculty involved. The currency of funds to be given will be in Philippine Peso.
  • 80% of Publication Fee upon approval of application
  • 20% upon submission of copy of journal where the paper was published, with receipt of payment
