1st Call for Research or Thesis Proposals for Funding by the UPM-National Institutes of Health, UPM Student Researcher Grant 2019

We are pleased to announce that the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO) is now accepting the First (1st) batch of applications for the UPM Student Research Grant for CY 2019. This grant provides funding support for the thesis/research of UP Manila undergraduate students, medical students, and masteral students without any scholarship.

A research grant of up to P40,000.00 each shall be given to deserving research projects to subsidize expenses for maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE) only. The proposals shall be evaluated based on relevance and scientific merit subject to appropriate ethical clearance. The thesis or research adviser should endorse the application and will be responsible for financial disbursement and liquidation of funds. The successful applicants are strongly encouraged their manuscript in a publishable format for submission.

Please submit the following requirements on or before 15 October 2019 (Tuesday):

  1. One (1) printed copy of the full thesis/research proposal
  2. Electronic copy (Word file) of the full thesis/research proposal (send via email to rgao@post.upm.edu.ph)
  3. Endorsement letter signed by the Thesis/Research Adviser, Department Chair and College Dean
  4. Thesis panel certificate of approval
  5. Registration with RGAO at http://rgao.upm.edu.ph/registration.

We are pleased to announce that the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is ready to accept research and development (R&D)/Science and Technology (S&T) proposals for 2020. This call for proposals is for specific priority areas identified in the Harmonized National R&D Agenda (HNRDA) 2017-2022.

Scope of R&D Work:

Call for Proposals: Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Economy (CRADLE) Program

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is accepting proposals through its program entitled “Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Economy (CRADLE) Program”

Under this call, the Department of Scienc and Technology (DOST) are requiring all the proposals submitted should be in line with the priority R&D areas and industries identified by the DOST itself and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), namely:

• Agri-processing (includes drug and herbal development)
• Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry
• IC Design
• Semi-conductor and Electronics
• Creative Industries/Knowledge-based Services
• Renewable Energy
• Industrial Waste Treatment
• Information and Communication Technology (includes Artificial Intelligence)
• Food and Nutrition
• Infrastructure and Logistics
• Environment and Climate Change
• Manufacturing

The HEI/RDI should have at least one industry partner to collaborate with. The industry partner will provide counterpart of at least twenty percent (20%) of the total project cost. Counterpart may be in cash, in kind, or person-hours support in the academe.
